With the whole team at Saturday’s party! Watching the football final (Brazil vs Germany, such an exciting game and it was so fun to see all the happy Brazilians haha!) and then dancing. Thanks everyone for this fun week!! BIG thanks to the people at Adidas for taking such a good care of us.

Okej så det är tydligen 100 000 (!) personer som ska flyga från Rio idag. Vi har fått rådet att åka in ÅTTA timmar innan vårt flyg går. Tydligen bör vi vara på flygplatsen 6 timmar innan. Alltså jag har aldrig i hela mitt liv varit ute i så god tid? Haha, men det är väl bra det. Man vill ju inte missa flyget pga trafik och andra köer…

Den här veckan här har gått så sjukt fort och det är så tråkigt att resan redan är över. Jag önskar att vi hade hunnit se och uppleva mer av Rio men nu var vi ju här för OS och hade ett schema att följa. Vi får försöka komma tillbaka en annnan gång!

Vi landar hemma tisdag kväll svensk tid. Lång resa… Ser SÅ fram emot att komma hem till Mani! :-)

// Okey so apparently there will be 100 000 (!) people flying from Rio today. We’ve been told to go to the airport EIGHT hours before our flight. They say we should be at the airport at least 6 hours before. Seriously I have never in my whole life been so early to anything? Haha, but I guess it’s good. You don’t want to end up missing the flight because of traffic and other queues..

This week went by so fast and I’m sad the trip is already over. I wish we had more time to see and experience Rio, but now we were here for the Olympics and we had a schedule to follow. We’ll have to try to come back another time!

We will arrive Tuesday night European time. Long trip… I’m SO looking forward to coming home to Mani! :-)

Yesterday visiting the Christ statue, Ipanema beach and the women’s soccer final!

Ni som varit i Rio vet vilken magisk utsikt man får uppe vid Jesus-statyn. Den fick vi dock inte se, haha. När vi hade kämpat oss upp dit (pga trafiken tog det oss typ 4 timmar att åka dit och tillbaka) så märker vi att ju längre upp vi kommer desto molnigare blir det. Väl uppe såg vi knappt statyn och utsikten var bara…..vit, haha. Sån fail! Men vi fick iallafall en härlig lunch på Ipanema beach efteråt. :-))

På kvällen var vi såklart och hejade på våra svenska tjejer i fotbollsfinalen! Det gick ju inte hela vägen men det var iallafall riktigt kul att få vara där och se dem spela en OS-final i Brasilien!

// If you’ve been to Rio you know what a magical view you get up by the Christ statue. We didn’t see it though, haha. On our way up we noticed that it got more and more cloudy and when we finally reached the top (it took us about 4 hours to go there and back because of the traffic) we barely saw the statue and the view was just….white, haha. Fail! But at least we had a lovely lunch at Ipanema beach afterwards. :-))

In the evening we went to cheer for our Swedish girls in the soccer final! It didn’t go all the way but it was still so much fun to be there and watch them play an Olympic final in Brazil!

A morning spent at the Creators base, learning about Parley and their work with Adidas! + a cute little cat haha.

God morgon! Vi har precis vaknat och ska ner och äta frukost. Fan vad fort dagarna går här, det är redan lördag?! Vi åker hem på måndag så vi har bara några få dagar kvar. Idag har vi en aktivitet på schemat, samt (förhoppningsvis) herrfotbollsfinalen ikväll.

Ovan har ni lite bilder från i torsdags då vi fick lära oss om Adidas samarbete med Parley, en organisation som jobbar med att rädda våra hav. Sjukt inspirerande och skrämmande på samma gång. Att det just nu flyter runt 18 000 ton plast i bara norra Stilla havet känns helt otroligt. De jobbar iallafall för att städa upp haven från all plast och Adidas har tillsammans med dem tagit fram ett par sko som är gjorda av plast från havet. Tycker sånt är så häftigt. Vi lekte även med barnen från Parley school (jag fick skriva autografer, inte för att de hade någon aning om vem jag är utan de tyckte bara att det var coolt att vi var från Sverige haha. så jäkla gulliga) och så fick vi i uppgift att snabbt rita en idé som kan hjälpa våra hav. Var väl lite halvt seriös på den punkten, ni ser ju min hajrobot-teckning haha. När vi kom tillbaka till huset sen så väntade vår lilla kompis på oss, han är här varje dag och SÅ kelig. Jag gillar inte ens katter men jag vill typ ta hem honom.

// Good morning! We just woke up and now we’re gonna go down and eat breakfast. Damn the days here goes by so fast, it’s already Saturday?! We’re going home on Monday so we’ve only got a few days left. Today we have an activity on the schedule, and (hopefully) the men’s soccer final tonight.

These photos are from Thursday when we got to learn about Adidas collaboration with Parley, an organisation that works with saving our oceans. It’s was really inspiring and scary at the same time. Right now there’s 40 million pounds of plastic floating around in just the North Pacific ocean and that is just unbelievable. So they’re working on cleaning the oceans from plastic and together with Adidas they turned the plastic ocean into a pair of shoes. I think that is really cool. We also played with the kids from Parley school (I got to write autographs, not that they had any idea of who I was but they tought it was cool that we were from Sweden haha. so freaking cute) and then we all had to write a quick drawing of an idea that could help our oceans. I guess I wasn’t completely serious on that one, well you can see my shark robot haha. When we got back to the house our little friend were waiting for us, he’s here every day and he is SO cuddly. I don’t even like cats but I almost want to take him home.
