Photos from the Peninsula Paris
Last Friday we checked in to the most beautiful hotel I’ve ever seen. Everything was just 100% luxury. The architecture, the decor, the location (a step from Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées), our amazing 85 sqm suite, all the beautiful white roses in every little corner, the little Oscar de la Renta bottles in the bathroom (which also had a spa feature where the lights dimmed and soothing music starts playing), the food (served with cutlery etc in real silver ofc), the spa & the gym where you could get help from a PT, the view from the restaurant on the roof, the friendly and helpful staff (I’ve never experienced better service!), that they cleaned the room several times per day, our touch screen tablets who controlled everything from the TV and the lighting to the room service etc… Yes, I can continue for days. It was the best hotel experience I’ve ever had and I really hope I’ll go back there one day. I couldn’t have wished for a better birthday weekend and the Peninsula had a big part in that.
Even if you don’t stay there I still think you should take a drink up on the roof terrace (with view over Paris and the Eiffel Tower), or an afternoon tea on the terrace downstairs. Or why not stop by for a lovely breakfast. I promise you the croissants will be the best ones you’ve ever had. :-)

Arkitekturen, inredningen, platsen (precis vid Triumfbågen & Champs-Élysées), vår fantastiska svit på 85 kvm, alla vackra vita rosor i varenda litet hörn, de små Oscar de la Renta flaskorna i badrummet (som dessutom hade en spa-funktion där lamporna dämpas och lugnande musik börjar spelas), maten (som självklart serverades med bestick och annat i äkta silver), spat & gymmet där en PT fanns till hjälp, utsikten från restaurangen uppe på taket, den vänliga och hjälpsamma personalen (aldrig varit med om bättre service!), att de städade rummet flera gånger per dag, våra “surfplattor” som kontrollerade allt från tvn och belysning till roomservice osv… Ja, listan kan göras lång. Det var den bästa hotellupplevelsen jag någonsin varit med om och jag hoppas verkligen att jag åker tillbaka dit någongång. Hade inte kunnat önska en bättre födelsedagshelg och mycket var tack vare Peninsula.
Om ni har vägarna förbi men inte bor där så tycker jag ändå att ni ska ta en drink uppe på takterassen (med utsikt över Paris och Eiffeltornet) eller en afternoon tea på terrassen där nere. Eller varför inte droppa in för en härlig frukost, kan garantera att croissanterna kommer vara de godaste ni någonsin ätit. :-)
