Nu när nyheten är ute så tänkte jag berätta lite mer om hur det egentligen gick till när Nelly frågade mig om jag ville fronta deras stora julkampanj. Vi har ju jobbat tillsammans sedan jag var 17-18 och jag har plåtats för dem många gånger och det är alltid lika kul, därför var det bara JA JA JA när de hörde av sig om julkampanjen. Sedan berättade de om idén om en jullåt + video utöver plåtningen och jag ba NEJ NEJ NEJ. Haha! Jag är ingen artist, jag är ingen sångerska. För några år sedan pratade jag om att jag skulle börja göra musik men kom sedan fram till att det inte var något för mig. Jag ÄLSKAR att sjunga, men sjunger mest i duschen. Ibland låter det bra och ibland så illa att om Mani hade kunnat prata så hade han skrikit åt mig att vara tyst.

Men sedan berättade de mer om idén, om hur videon skulle vara mysig och enkel och jag gillade det. Fortfarande väldigt nervös över hur det skulle tas emot av er men kände sedan äh, jag lever bara en gång. Jag fick nu chansen att testa på det här och det var jäkligt kul! Att filma själva videon var bland det roligaste jag gjort! Kul att göra något annorlunda, kul att utmana mig själv. Det krävdes en hel del mod för mig att hoppa på detta, och nu är det gjort och jag är stolt över resultatet. Man MÅSTE våga göra saker utanför ens comfort zone, för då lär man sig något och man växer som person. Iallafall jag. Och jag fick ju leka artist för en dag! :-)

// Now that the news are out, I thought I could tell you a bit more about what happened when Nelly asked me to be the face of their big Christmas campaign. As you know we’ve been working together since I was 17-18 and I’ve done many shoots fun shoots for them, that’s why I was like YES YES YES when they asked me about the Christmas campaign. And then they told be about the idea of a Christmas song + video and I was like NO NO NO. Haha! I’m not an artist, I’m not a singer. A couple of years ago I talked about starting with music but then realized that it wasn’t for me. I really love to sing, but I mostly sing in the shower. Sometimes it sounds good and sometimes so bad that if Mani could talk I swear he would tell me to shut up.

But then they told me more about the idea, about how the video would be cozy and simple and I liked it. Still very nervous about what you would say about it but then I thought like what the heck, I only live once. I got to chance to try this and it was so much fun! To record the video was one of the most fun things I’ve ever done! It was fun to do something different, to challenge myself. It took a lot of courage to do this, and now it’s done and I’m proud of the result. You HAVE TO do things outside of your comfort zone, because then you learn something and you grow as a person. At least I do. And I got to play artist for a day! :-)

Julen närmar sig och äntligen kan jag berätta att jag frontar Nelly’s stora julkampanj! Och inte bara på ett vanligt sätt…. Nej, jag har nämligen hoppat på en läskig, spännande & galet rolig utmaning och gjort en musikvideo med en julcover. Ja, ni läste rätt haha! Det här är så långt ifrån det jag egentligen gör, jag är ju ingen sångerska.. Men satan vad kul det har varit!!

No, because I accepted this scary, exciting and crazy fun challenge and made a music video with a cover of a Christmas song. Yep, you heard it haha! This is so different from what I usually do, I mean I’m not a singer.. But damn it’s been so much fun!!

Ahh imorgon släpper vi nyheten om denna kampanj! Jag är FETT nervös för det är så långt ifrån det jag är van vid att göra. Ni kommer förstå imorgon…… Och så måste ni vara snälla mot mig, haha. Men det är ni ju alltid. :* Hela kampanjen lanseras nästa vecka! Woop!!

På tal om något annat (för att jag såg make up-artistens tatuering på första bilden) så har jag länge funderat på att göra en Mani-tatuering. HAHA tänker ni nu, ska hon på riktigt tatuera in sin hund? Ja han är ju faktiskt min bästa vän, och jag tänker mig en liten tecknad Mani (ej färg). Typ så som han hade sett ut om han var med i Bambi-filmen. Problemet är bara att jag inte känner någon som kan göra illustrationen. Någon talangfull själ som känner sig manad? ;-)

Speaking of something else (cause I saw the make up artist’s tattoo in the first pic), I’ve been thinking of getting myself a Mani tattoo. You’re probably thinking HAHA, is she really gonna get a tattoo of her dog? Well he is my best friend, and I’m thinking a little cartoon Mani (just black ink). What he would’ve looked like if he was in the movie Bambi. The problem is that I don’t know anyone who can do the illustration. Any talented soul out there who wants to help?
