Throwback to Paris in april 2015
Paris Paris. Kanske världens vackraste stad. Jag har varit där flera gånger och senast var i våras när jag och Aleks firade min 24-årsdag. Det har länge varit bestämt att vi ska åka dit igen (för ett litet jobb blandat med nöje) men vi har skjutit på det flera gånger pga jobb. Sedan hände terrorattacken… Efter lite om och men så har vi nu bokat in vår weekend och vi åker nästa helg. Jag var lite tveksam först, dels för att jag är lite rädd men också för att jag kände att det var fel att åka dit och “ha kul” när över hundra människor miste sina liv på gatorna där nyligen. Men sedan pratade jag med de som bjudit dit oss och precis som de sa så ska vi ju inte visa rädsla, vi ska inte sluta leva våra liv. Det är ju det terroristerna vill, sprida skräck. Så vi ska åka dit. Det kommer förmodligen kännas jobbigt ibland och stämningen lär ju vara helt annorlunda jämfört med sist, men vi ska försöka fokusera på all glädje och kärlek som finns i världens mest romantiska stad. ♥
// Paris Paris. Maybe the most beautiful city in the world. I’ve been there many times and the last time was this spring when Aleks and I celebrated my 24th birthday. We decided to go back a while ago (for work and pleasure) but because of work here we had to postpone the trip several times. And then the terror attack happened… After a lot of ifs and buts, we have now booked the trip and we’re going next weekend. I was a bit doubtful at first, partly because I’m a bit scared but also because it felt wrong to go there and “have fun” when more than hundred people lost their lives on the streets there recently. But then I talked to the people who invited us and just like they said we shouldn’t show fear, we shouldn’t stop living our lives. That’s what the terrorists wants, to spread fear. So we’re going. It will probably feel hard sometimes and I can imagine that the atmosphere is different from last time, but we will try to focus on all the joy and love they have there in the world’s most romantic city. ♥
