Throwback to Paris in april 2015

Paris Paris. ♥

// Paris Paris. Maybe the most beautiful city in the world. I’ve been there many times and the last time was this spring when Aleks and I celebrated my 24th birthday. We decided to go back a while ago (for work and pleasure) but because of work here we had to postpone the trip several times. And then the terror attack happened… After a lot of ifs and buts, we have now booked the trip and we’re going next weekend. I was a bit doubtful at first, partly because I’m a bit scared but also because it felt wrong to go there and “have fun” when more than hundred people lost their lives on the streets there recently. But then I talked to the people who invited us and just like they said we shouldn’t show fear, we shouldn’t stop living our lives. That’s what the terrorists wants, to spread fear. So we’re going. It will probably feel hard sometimes and I can imagine that the atmosphere is different from last time, but we will try to focus on all the joy and love they have there in the world’s most romantic city. ♥

My friend who live in Paris told me that all French say now “we should not show fear”, but all the restaurants, bars are half empty and she was at the bar where the lamp was exploded (nothing dangerous, just the sound) and people got into a panic and ran out from the bar :(

I have so much respect of the Parisiens! They just continue their lives and keep having fun and keep having this french style of life! And I think that is so important in a temporary of terror and fear! To Show that nobody can destroy the way of living and the mentality of our western world!
You will have an awesome trip! :) I am sure!

Dear, great that you look at it that way. It’s impossible to avoid the big places like Paris, New york, Brussel, Berlin, etc. They are everywhere and only if we lock ourselves up in our houses we are “safe”. But you can better throw yourself off a bridge cause that’s not living and enjoying life, to stay in your home. I live in Amsterdam and Im scared as well sometimes, but it won’t help me and it won’t stop terrorism. So enjoy your trip and it’s good that you’re reminding that there are people who were or are less lucky cause of what happened a few weeks ago..
HUG !

I think it is important to move on and to not be afraid all the time. We can do nothing, if we are constantly scared what might possibly can happen.
Let’s just enjoy our lives to the fullest! <3

Even though the feel of sadness and the echo of fear are all surrounding us. It could really be anywhere in the world, and it would be in our hearts if we allow it too. Paris is and always be a beautiful city, a place of hopes and dreams for many … The city of lights that will NEVER fades. Pray for families that lost a loved one and celebrate a fabulous city of hopes that will never die! :)

I can totally understand you and it’s really tragic that so many people lost their life of course. However, an even larger number of people was innocently killed and still is by western countries in the middle east.. the terrorists are a product of the war the west bred. Not to justify their deed of course. Nevertheless people are more effected by the attacks in Paris because it’s such a famous and touristic city and countries like Syria are less. Dying is the consequence of living, so make sure you make the most of your life and each moment :)

I agree that it is a tragedy what happened in Paris. But what about Beirut? Syria and Egypt? It really makes me sad and kind of angry to see the ignorance of the “Western people”. It is for sure that it is the fault of the Western world that all these countries suffer everyday!! Hope the world will understand it one day :)
